Maria Montessori School is approved for Canada Wide Early Learning and Child Care (CWELCC)  funding. The CWELCC program,  initiated and funded by the Government of Canada, is a five-year plan that will significantly reduce the cost of early childhood education. The School applauds  all levels of government in taking this initiative as it will allow access to the benefits of high quality Montessori education by many more families.

Practical implementation of the program is still under development. Please contact the school for specific fee information.

The School

Founded in 1975 and serving families from across the greater Toronto area for more than forty years, Maria Montessori School has operated at the same location in North Toronto's Leaside neighbourhood,

Currently the school serves children from 16 months to 12 years of age.

Montessori Education

Montessori Education aims to support the full development of the human being and offers a broad view of education as an "aid to life." It is implemented in over 20,000 schools around the globe and has a greater history of success than any other educational approach in the world.

Ultimately, Maria Montessori School's goal is for parents to make an informed choice for the right reasons. We look forward to a positive, long term relationship and believe that this can only be built on a foundation of trust and honesty from the outset. For this reason the admission process is conducted in person and applications are not available online.
